What does having porcelain veneers envolve?

If you would like to have porcelain veneers bonded to your teeth, the first step is scheduling a smile analysis consultation with our doctors. After thorough evaluation of your teeth and smile, the doctors will determine if porcelain veneers are the best option for you. They will make a customized treatment plan and a smile design to provide you with the result you desire.

After it has been determined that porcelain veneers are the best solution for you, the Dr. will prepare your teeth for the procedure. Preparing your teeth consists of removing a small amount of tooth enamel from the front of your teeth to compensate for the thickness of the porcelain veneers, which is thinner than a contact lens.

An impression is then taken of your teeth and sent with specific instructions to a highly specialized veneer dental lab where the porcelain veneers can be created. While your porcelain veneers are being fabricated, you will be fitted with temporary veneers. Many people find their temporaries to be such an improvement that they are ecstatic once their custom-made porcelain veneers are bonded to their teeth.

Once the porcelain veneers arrive from the lab and have been approved by you and your doctor, They will be bonded to your teeth. You will be given special instuctions on how to maintain you teeth.
